Remembering Wren

We are heartbroken to share the passing of our wonderful friend, Wren.

Wren’s entire world was all about taking care of others.

Her contagious smile, her charming nature and incredible ability to light up every room she walked into was like magic.

Wren accomplished so much during her nearly 7 years of service- she was the first Facility Dog in Edmonton to support a child on stand in court, she provided support at public and private funerals for the Humboldt Hockey players, comforted patients in the dementia ward, did truly amazing work with children, youth and their families during her time with the Zebra Centre, and much more.

Wren had so many incredible “firsts” and achievements, but it is easy to tell that Wren was most proud about doing her job. She loved being able to make others smile. She instinctively knew she had a superpower to make everyone she met feel seen and loved.

Our Zebra Herd feels so grateful to have worked alongside her and see the remarkable difference she made in so many lives.

Her infinitely charismatic and selfless personality was truly one of a kind. All who have been lucky enough to meet Wren know her kind heart has made an impression that will last a lifetime.

Wren will be remembered forever as a best friend, a loyal sidekick and a hero.
