Kate Zalaski

Director At Large

Kate joined the board in February 2020, and currently serves on the Fundraising Committee. She joined because of her passion for supporting children and victims of abuse.

She is an Elementary Education teacher with Edmonton Public Schools, and also serves as the Safe Contact and Mental Health Lead at her school. She enjoys working with families with special needs and is also interested in new technologies being developed to assist with learning disabilities.

Kate holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta. She has also worked as a Crisis Intake Supervisor with Social Services and volunteered with the Edmonton Police Service Victim Services Unit. She also currently serves on the board of the Stollery Community Foundation. Kate is also a self-described hockey mom, as her three children all play the sport.
