Karen Macmillan

Secretary

Family and children are an important part of Karen’s life and she is drawn to work with people in times of crisis. She is committed to the great work that Zebra does in collaboration with community partners to support children and families dealing with abuse.

Karen joined the board in 2019 and became chair of the governance committee in 2020. In September of 2023 she accepted the role of Secretary for the Zebra Child and Youth Advocacy Centre Board of directors.

Karen is a registered nurse and for the last 15 years has been the Senior Operating Office of the Grey Nuns Hospital. Karen is an avid traveler, hiker and biker and when not on the trails she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
