Cheryl Diebel
Chief Executive Officer
Cheryl Diebel is the Chief Executive Officer of the Zebra Child Protection Centre.
Cheryl has over 30 years of experience in Childrenβs Services, specifically within the government and community sector. From working the front line at Yellow Head Youth Centre to becoming the Associate Director of Child Intervention with the Government of Alberta, she has acquired a multi-faceted perspective of the Child and Family Services sector. Throughout her career, she has fostered strong relationships with government and community partners. The community recognizes Cheryl for her inclusiveness and commitment to establishing meaningful partnerships and collaboration. Recently, she was recognized by the Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society for these efforts.
Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta, a Child and Youth Care diploma from McEwan University, and an Executive Coaching Program certification from Royal Roads University.
Saskatchewan born but Edmonton raised, Cheryl calls Sherwood Park home. An active member of the community, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and experiencing all Edmonton has to offer. Cheryl volunteers in the community and currently serves as an advisory committee member for the Family and Community Services for Strathcona County.
Cherylβs commitment to providing support to children, youth and families, all while strengthening the Children Services sector within the community, is evident. With her passion, drive, and experience, Cheryl proudly leads the Zebra herd as they continue working towards their vision, supporting children and strengthening the voice of those who have been impacted by abuse in our community.
