Meet the Herd: Madeeha
Meet Madeeha! She is one of the amazing volunteers at the Zebra Centre.
Madeeha shares what a typical shift looks like, what she loves about her role and proudest moment since joining the Herd.
Q: Tell us about your role as volunteer at the Zebra Centre.
Madeeha: As a ‘Fundraising Team Member’, I support the Zebra Centre by attending fundraising events to raise awareness in the community.
Q: What does a typical “day in the life” as a volunteer look like?
Madeeha: At a fundraising event, I assist with the setting up of the event, engaging with our community members while educating them about the Zebra Centre.
Q: What do you love most about your role?
Madeeha: This role is extremely rewarding, knowing that my efforts align with my values, passions, and goals, while making a long-lasting impact on my community.
Q: What is your proudest moment at the Zebra Centre so far?
Madeeha: The one that’s closest to my heart is when I got to organize the Hope’s Closet, where brave kiddos visit, it was emotional but a proud moment.
Q: What motivates you to show your stripes (your why)?
Madeeha: My children motivate me, as a mother myself, I desire to see change and impact where we can make safer communities for our children. I believe that my efforts, however small, can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.
Q: Lastly, share a surprising or fun fact about you.
Madeeha: I enjoy baking cookies and decorating them.
