Meet the Zebra Centre’s Volunteer Coordinator Sabrina. She shares with us her passion for volunteerism, what she loves most about her role, and much more!
Q: Tell us about your role as Volunteer Coordinator.
Sabrina: My role is responsible for implementing, monitoring and enhancing the volunteer program at Zebra.
Q: What does a typical “day in the life” as Volunteer Coordinator look like?
Sabrina: A lot of my role consists of planning for the intake of new volunteers while making sure that our current volunteers are well supported and recognized for their efforts.
Q: What do you love most about your role?
Sabrina: I love being the go-to person for volunteers. I am there for them if they have questions or just need to debrief after having a hard day. I am passionate about volunteerism and believe in the importance of volunteer work and I love being able to work closely with volunteers.
Q: What is your proudest moment at the Zebra Centre so far?
Sabrina: My proudest moment so far is completing my first volunteer cohort training with Zebra! From doing months of planning to executing the training, it feels very rewarding to have trained the volunteers with the essential information needed to do their roles.
Q: What motivates you to show your stripes (your why)?
Sabrina: What motivates me is being able to work with such a dedicated team of individuals working towards the greater mission of Zebra.
Q: Lastly, share a surprising or fun fact about you.
Sabrina: The Office is my favorite show of all time and I have probably watched it over 20 times!
