Our wonderful team member, Triggs, has retired from his work due to a medical condition that has emerged after an incredible year of service. Though his career was only a year long, it was still a full year of supporting so many kids and families.

Triggs accomplished so much as Facility Dog at the Zebra Centre and made countless memories with our Zebra Herd.

The Story Begins

In October of 2020, Triggs joined our Very Important Paws (VIP) team after completing his intensive training with Dogs With Wings. Ladies on the Green Golf Classic along with the generosity of all their supporters sponsored Triggs position within our VIP Program!

It was such an exciting time for our Centre to have Captain and Triggs begin their facility dog careers with us.

A Day In The Life

During his year of work, Triggs supported multiple children, youth and their families in our community. He did truly incredible work everyday.

Triggs was the star of our Day in the Life of a Facility Dog video that followed him through his daily responsibilities at the Zebra Centre.

Heart Of Gold

Anyone who has been lucky enough to meet Triggs would have immediately sensed his kind and gentle nature. His natural ability to comfort others made a positive difference in the lives of so many children and youth in our community.

Fur-iends Forever

Not only did Captain, Fletcher and Triggs become the VIP Dream Team, but they also became the best of friends.

The Best Duo

Triggs and his handler, Stephanie, did incredible work together. They made a truly perfect match.
